Sash Windows London, Putney SW15 – Secondary glazing has been used in this modernised apartment block to reduce traffic noise. Installed to provide a clean and smart appearance with maximum sound insulation, without affecting the aesthetic.

The mid-century building allowed for the units to be fitted flush with the inside walls, with a good-sized gap between the existing sash windows and secondary glazing – allowing for optimum sound insulation.

The units are a combination of Selectaglaze – Casement Style (Series 45) and Horizontal Sliding (Series 10). The solution allows for a practical opening to clean and open the existing sash windows.
