Grade II Listed Family Home

Sash Windows Belgravia SW1 – This impressive family home lies within the Crown Estate of central London. Our client was keen to minimise the outside noise as much as possible whilst maintaining the look of the current windows and ensuring any alterations are within strict guidelines imposed by the Crown Estate.

The building is Grade II Listed and it was not possible to fit double glazing, but an acoustic glass was fitted to provide a reduction in sound. A number of repairs were made to the current frames before new made-to-measure sashes could be fitted. The internal paint colour was matched in keeping with the rest of the woodwork in the house.

The installation provided new sashes that are in keeping with the original windows, yet significantly reduce outside noise and remain within the listed building’s strict regulations.
